Farm for the Future

Our mission is running a commercial farm with profit in order to provide opportunities for quality education, counselling, and socio-economic empowerment with emphasis on marginalized groups in order to eliminate the discrimination so as to create sustainable communities.

Farm for the Future Tanzania Ltd, a modern farm in Iringa with high technology and a high level of competence.

  1. A modern farm using every available progressive technique to regenerate soil potential to enable sustainable cropping into the future. Exposure of  these techniques are to be used as an example for surrounding communities and beyond. Production goals are set at a much higher level than are currently understood.
  2. Modern machinery has been chosen and purchased to allow for timely operation and to enable well established regenerative techniques to enhance the soil production capacity. This includes a large Tractor of 195hp together with carefully matched robust ripper implement, a large sprayer and hi-tech planter. These will form the basis of the capability to achieve timely activity in the required manner.
  3. The first headquarters with storage for equipment and seed, office and training facilities was established July 2018. 651 acres of formerly farmed land is rented from our main owner, Ilula Orphan Program (IOP) on long term basis.

As one of the our initial activities, an environmental Impact Assessment will be conducted in order to evaluate the likely environmental impacts of a proposed project or development, taking into account inter-related socio-economic, cultural and human-health impacts, both beneficial and adverse.   

We are taking responsibility for our impact on society. We want  to consolidate a value chain in accordance with the demands of the authorities and consumers in the international market. Our policies are based on:
